My name is Sam Jones and I am a professional hockey player born in Birmingham England. My family moved to Canada when I was just 8 years old which is where we have been settled ever since.
Growing up playing competitive hockey I was up against some tough challenges. I was skinny, I hit my growth spurt a lot later than everyone else which made it very hard for me to compete. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing S&C coach that guided me through these times and taught me how to train and eat properly. It was through learning how to train and eat properly that I was able to gain my competitive advantage. My strength and conditioning coach laid the foundation for the rest of my career and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be playing professionally in the EIHL now. I also wouldn't have had the chance to play for Team Great Britain in the world championships and compete against the best players in the world.
It was because of these struggles, and the amazing job my mentors did helping me that I decided I wanted to help other athletes achieve their goals also. I have seen the power of what a good coach can help people achieve, and I want to help other athletes like me do the same thing!
I help athletes by offering a truly personal and educational online training experience. This isn't like other online training plans where you receive the plan and never hear from me again. I stay in constant contact, doing what I can to help you completely transform not only the way you train, but all the other pillars in your life that support your training goals. These pillars include, nutrition, recovery, mindset, time management and many other areas that support your end goal, but get overlooked in other training plans.

I really like how personable the entire program is. Sam listens to my goals and incorporate exercises into my program that are going to help me be successful during my senior season. Alongside pushing me to become a better player on and off the ice. Sam is a very positive person and extremely cooperative during the long off-season. I enjoy the constant check-in via message or video calls. It helps me stay motivated and allows me to see progress over the months that we have worked together. I think Sams involvement is super influential regarding my success in the gym! I have really enjoyed our time together and very excited for the next couple months !

Sam’s program isn’t a one size fits all. It was tailored to my individual needs after analyzing my daily habits. I liked how the program gave a very specific plan for each meal, but also gave flexibility for personal preference as long as you followed the general plan outline.

I’m a huge fan of the work Sam has done with me over the past 7 months. I’m a huge fan of the use of the Trainerize app that Sam uses to track all my workouts and diet goals. The workouts are challenging but tailored to my specific needs which is great. The diet plan Sam has built for me has been great and has helped me change my habits to more positive ones. To get a 15 year old to buy in to a total life changing process from eating ,sleeping, recovery and mindset change is outstanding and testament to sams knowledge and expertise.
